(January 6, 2005, Beverly Hills) - John Robert Powers helped create the magic of Disney on Wednesday, December 15, 2004, hosting the DVD release party of the “Princess Diaries 2” at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The slumber party themed event transformed guests into royalty for the night, as they celebrated with the stars of the film.
Guests attended the event in their pajamas and were given tiaras and princess rings when greeted at the door. Celebrities such as Melinda Clarke, Lisa Rinna, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Beverly Peele, Amy Yasbeck, Sela Ward, Tia and Tamara Mowry, Vanessa Bryant, John Robert Powers’ CEO and President Ron Patterson, and the film’s star Callum Blue and director Gary Marshall all gathered on the pink carpet in support of St. Jude’s Hospital. John Robert Powers provided a Monarch Make-Up Studio, Princess Hair Do Salon, and an Etiquette station where teams of skilled John Robert Powers’ coaches transformed girls into princesses throughout the course of the evening. Ten lucky girls chosen from a “Princess for a Day” radio contest also sponsored by John Robert Powers were given the opportunity to walk the pink carpet and pose for the press.
