Acting And Modeling Students From Chicago’s John Robert Powers Are Hired For National Commercials And Hollywood Films
(Los Angeles, October 28, 2008) – Several acting and modeling children and teenagers from John Robert Powers Chicago have recently been hired to work on major Hollywood studio films, national television commercials and print ads. By enrolling in classes at John Robert Powers, students have been discovered and signed by leading agents and managers in the entertainment industry.
In just the last two years, John Robert Powers Chicago has launched acting and modeling careers for Paulina Olszynska who has appeared in three outstanding episodes of ABC’s hit medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy. Paulina also shot the pilots for Aliens In America and Lincoln Heights and just finished shooting the new Wes Craven film 25/8. “I’m very excited to be filming with Wes Craven, he is such a famous director;” says Paulina Olszynska. “My parents won’t let me watch all of his scary films yet since I’m not old enough but when I am, I can’t wait to them.”
Regina Hoyles is a John Robert Powers student who is a triple threat in acting, singing (also taught at John Robert Powers) and modeling. Regina recently made her Broadway debut in the famed musical Shenandoah and is currently filming Of Boys and Men which was written by Robert Townsend and is scheduled for release in 2008 and can currently be seen starring in The Express along side Dennis Quaid and Charles Dutton where she plays Dutton’s granddaughter. “I can’t believe how much has happened to me since attending John Robert Powers,” said Regina Hoyles. “I never would have imagined that I would be on Broadway and in a Hollywood movie two years ago.” Regina Hoyles is also modeling having just booked the next holiday issue of American Girl.

John Robert Powers student Megan Dela Cruz appears several times in the 2008 American Girl catalogue and in commercials for Walgreens and Kellogg’s Eggo Waffles. Ishmael Holdman is currently in a national Leap Frog Leapster ad and just filmed another national commercial with Hip-Hop artist Common for Lincoln/Mercury Navigator and another John Robert Powers Chicago student, Kelley Bode, shot for the American Girl catalogue and was featured on the McDonald’s Happy Meal box for an American Idol giveaway. Kelley can also be seen in the major motion picture movie The Lake House starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.
